Trademark Scam: If you receive a call from an Arlington, VA area code and someone is attempting to collect a "declaration fee" via credit card, do not give them your credit card information. THIS IS A SCAM. The person on the phone tries to confirm what is available on the public record and then asks that you pay a declaration fee. Once I told the person there was no such thing (declaration fees are not required because they are a part of the filing fee for the trademark), the person hung up.
